Joost Hubregtse leads the sales and advisory team at Intercompany Solutions, where he helps international founders and companies determine the structure that fits their plans in the Netherlands. He is often the first point of contact for entrepreneurs entering the Dutch market and the person who maps out the full route: from choosing the right entity and completing the incorporation, through to ongoing accounting, tax, and corporate compliance.
His approach is built on more than twenty years in commercial roles, with a specialisation in commercial communication and negotiation. Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution, Joost takes the time to understand what each client is trying to achieve and how a Dutch entity fits within their wider international setup, so that the structure chosen at incorporation still serves the business as it grows.
Joost holds a Bachelor's degree in Technical Computer Science from Hogeschool Rotterdam and began his career as a technical consultant at IBM, later moving into a sales role supported by extensive commercial training. He went on to co-found an IT company that was acquired by a German software group within three years, spending two years in Germany to oversee the transfer of knowledge and assets. On returning to the Netherlands he served as Sales Director of an international HR agency before joining Intercompany Solutions. He is fluent in Dutch, English, and German, and international work has been a constant throughout his career.
Beyond the incorporation itself, Joost maintains ICS's international network of notaries, tax advisors, legal specialists, payroll experts, and recruiters, ensuring clients receive accurate, current advice at every stage of establishing and operating a Dutch company. He also serves as Director of ICS Staffing & Payroll B.V., ICS's Employer of Record and payroll subsidiary, which allows him to advise on the full range of market-entry options, including hiring in the Netherlands ahead of, or alongside, a formal incorporation.
Joost leads with a people-centric approach, giving team members ownership and responsibility in the belief that trust and autonomy produce better results for clients. Outside of work he enjoys mountain hiking, skiing, travelling, and time in his garden, and lives by the principle that "making a living is not the same thing as making a life."
