Ivo van Dijke

Ivo van Dijke co-founded Intercompany Solutions in 2017 and heads the firm's account representative department. After studying Commercial Economics he built a career in commerce, managing high-value international accounts in the pharmaceutical industry, work that put him in front of foreign companies that wanted to operate in the Netherlands and could not find a straightforward way in. The obstacles were rarely legal. Incorporation itself is fast; what stalled founders was everything around it. Opening a Dutch business bank account without a local track record. Getting a VAT number actually issued rather than merely applied for. Answering questions from the Chamber of Commerce and the Tax Administration that were written with domestic businesses in mind. And finding an adviser willing to work with a client who would never be in Rotterdam on a Tuesday.

Ivo co-founded Intercompany Solutions to remove that friction, and built it around a fast, transparent, fully remote way to establish and manage a Dutch company, with incorporation for clients from more than 50 countries, typically within three to seven business days, handled without anyone boarding a plane.

The advisory work is where he spends his time. Most conversations start before anything is filed, because the decisions that matter are structural and hard to unwind later: whether a single BV is enough or whether a holding above it serves the shareholders better on tax, liability and a future exit; whether the founder should be on the Dutch payroll and what the DGA salary rules mean for them in practice; what has to be in place before the first invoice goes out, and in what order. He is equally direct about the parts that clients tend to underestimate, such as the ongoing rhythm of VAT returns, corporate income tax, annual accounts and UBO registration, and what a realistic first-year cost base looks like once all of it is counted.

That advice now extends to employment. With the 2026 launch of ICS Staffing & Payroll B.V., the group's Employer of Record and payroll arm, Ivo helps clients weigh the two routes into the Dutch labour market: hiring through an EOR to get someone working quickly, or incorporating and running their own payroll from the start. It is the same question he has been answering since 2017, in a new form: what does this specific business actually need, and what is it being sold that it doesn't?
